CARD PAYMENTS:

Payments made by CREDIT CARD will be charged a processing fee (of min GBP 1.00) per transaction up to GBP 25.  Transactions over GBP 25 will be charged a processing fee of 2% per transaction.  There is no additional charge for payments made by debit (e.g. Maestro/ Delta) card.  We do not accept payment by American Express.

INDIVIDUALS:

A booking made by an individual will be considered confirmed when a deposit (usually the first night's fee) has been received.  Pre-payment in full allows us to offer a special discount.  A Credit Card handling fee of 2% (min GBP1.00) will be applied per credit card transaction.  There is no handling fee for payment by Debit Card (e.g. Maestro/Delta).  

If cancelling with at least 48 hours notice:
Only the deposit will be forfeited.

If cancelling with less than 48 hours notice:
The full value of the booked accommodation will be retained/charged.

Please note:  We reserve the right to charge a key deposit/good behaviour bond  of between GBP 5 and GBP 10 per person on arrival or at any time during or following an individual's stay.  This will be forfeit in the event of any loss of room key/disturbance caused to other guests/loss of income resulting.  We reserve the right to charge for any damage caused by identified person(s) in full.  Smoking is not permitted in the premises.


GROUPS:  

N.B. Group bookings have at least ten guests, and benefit from special Prices. At the time of booking, you need to be sure of what type of booking is being made. In the event of a change in the number of guests, a reduction in numbers will be treated as per group cancellation terms; additional numbers may be made as per either Individual or Group terms. (To get the best price, you need to use Group terms).

A booking made by a Group will be considered confirmed when a deposit of 20% of the full amount due has been received.  Please note the balance is due no  later than 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the day of arrival.  Failure to pay the balance due at least 6 weeks prior to arrival, or failing to agree with us in writing any special payment terms, will result in the accommodation being re-allocated and the deposit being retained/charged, without recourse to the Group concerned.    A Credit Card handling fee of 2% (min GBP 1.00) will be applied per credit card transaction.  There is no handling fee for payment by Debit Card (e.g. Maestro, Visa Debit).A maximum of 2 payments may be made, one for the deposit and one for the balance due.  Multiple payments will be charged an additional fee of GBP 1.00 per payment.

If you are a group and have to cancel in FULL before paying the balance due:
The Group Deposit of 20% will be retained/charged.

If you are a group and have to cancel in FULL after paying the balance due:
Group Cancellation in full between 42 and 29 days before arrival:   50% of the full amount due will be retained/charged;
Group Cancellation in full between 28 and 15 days before arrival:   75% of the full amount due will be retained/charged;
Group Cancellation in full between 14 and 0 days before arrival:   100% of the full amount due will be retained/charged.

If you are a group and have to cancel in PART before paying the balance due:
The Balance due will be adjusted accordingly.  There will be no repayment of any proportion of the deposit.

If you are a group and have to cancel in PART after paying the balance due:
Group Cancellation in part between 42 and 29 days before arrival:   50% of the cancelled proportion will be retained/charged;
Group Cancellation in part between 28 and 15 days before arrival:   75% of the cancelled proportion will be retained/charged;
Group Cancellation in part between 14 and 0 days before arrival:   100% of the cancelled proportion will be retained/charged.

EXCLUSIVE USE RENTALS:  

Standard 'Groups' Terms and Conditions apply, as above.  Please note that the hostel can accommodate a MAXIMUM 42 persons when booked for Exclusive Use.   At the time of booking Organisers are requested to confirm the number of guests anticipated to be in their group, and any variation to this number must be agreed IN WRITING and IN ADVANCE.  If on arrival day the group exceeds the number agreed then we will try to accommodate the surplus number, but if we are unable to do so such guests must find alternative accommodation at their own expense.  Such guests will be granted daytime access to the hostel upon payment of a 'Day Charge' of GBP 5.00 per person, and for reasons of security will be required to register at Reception in the normal manner. 

LATE ARRIVALS and LATE DEPARTURES:  

A RRIVALS:  Guests may normally book into the hostel from 1700 to 2230 hours.  (Once booked into the hostel guests have full 24-hour access until departure day)
 
LATE ARRIVALS:   Arrivals after 2230 hours are at the manager's discretion.  A charge of GBP 5.00 PER PERSON will be levied for late arrivals after 2230 . (If you anticipate arriving later than 2230 hrs please call the hostel in advance)

DEPARTURES:  Guests must depart the hostel by 1030 hours on departure day.  Guests may continue to use the dining and lounge facilities between 1030 and 1200 mid-day for a payment of GBP 5.00PER PERSON.  After 1200 mid-day the full overnight charge will be payable.  On departure day there is no access to bedrooms after 1030, as cleaning will be in progress

SPECIAL OFFERS:  

Special Offers are available on the following terms:

They are available only for the period stated in advertising
Unless otherwise stated they are to be fully pre-paid
Short Break special offers  of more than 2 nights are Non-Refundable
Special offers are available only for the first 20 guests per night
All special offers are 'stand alone' and are not available in conjunction with any other offer.

CHILDREN:   

Children under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.  We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 5 years without prior written agreement

ACCESS:    

Access to various parts of the building and facilities may be limited on occasion to meet Health & Safety requirements.  Residents Only are permitted access to the hostel unless agreed with the Hostel Management.

NB.  We reserve the right to change our Prices to meet changing market conditions.  The price quoted to you when you book will be the amount payable.  Bookings through an agency may be at a higher price due to commissions payable and booking fees.  In the event that we have to cancel your booking for any reason a full refund will be given, with no liability for any consequential loss.

These terms may reasonably be varied from time to time
